Garrison Launches New Beer, Comes to Ontario

garrison_logoHALIFAX, NSGarrison Brewing are set to add a new beer to their line-up of seasonal offerings.  Sugar Moon Maple Ale is a strong ale (6.2%) for spring, described as follows:

Truly Canadian ale brewed with Nova Scotia maple syrup from Sugar Moon Farms. Dark-amber colour with a light maple aroma and toasty, caramel and maple flavours. Smooth & tasty, best enjoyed under a cold sugar moon!

This will also be one of the first Garrison beers available in Ontario, as the brewery is now being represented there by Bar Towel Specialty Beer Imports. This new venture from Cass Enright, owner of the popular craft beer news and discussion website The Bar Towel, is making three Garrison products – Sugar Moon Maple Ale, Imperial Pale Ale and a mixed 6-pack – available to Ontario beer drinkers via private orders. Visit the website for more information.

  1. Hello,
While visiting Halifax from Maine, a friend had me try Garrison’s new Sugar Moon Maple beer as I have a wheat allergy and cannot consume the other fine beers. Although reluctant to try it at first (think maple syrup is for pancakes), this maple beer was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend that others try it with or without the cold sugar moon overhead! Now if only I can buy it down here…
