Alley Kat Announces Two New Beers: Ein Prosit! Oktoberfest & Red Dragon Double IPA

EDMONTON, ABAlley Kat Brewing has announced the release of a new fall seasonal beer, as well as the latest instalment in the Big Bottle Series of limited edition beers.

The new seasonal is Ein Prosit! Oktoberfest, described as follows:

Staying true to the Oktoberfest style of beer, Alley Kat brewed Ein Prosit! using select Alberta two row pilsner malt and Munich malts, along with German specialty malts. Finishing at 6.0% alcohol, Ein Prosit! Oktoberfest has toasty and bready malt notes with moderate hop bitterness. The perfect brew to enjoy with friends and bring in the fall with.

And the new Big Bottle brew, Red Dragon Double IPA, has the following description:

The Red Dragon is dark gold with flavours of caramel and bready malts that backs lots of piney hop flavour and a bitterness that builds with each sip. At 100+ IBU and single hopped with Simcoe, there is no doubt this brew is intended for hop heads.

A launch party for both beers will take place at the Alley Kat brewery on Thursday September 8th starting at 5:00 PM. They will also be available at premium liquor stores (Ein Prosit! in 6 packs, Red Dragon in 650 ml bottles) and select bars throughout Alberta.

  1. I’m pretty sure Ein Prsit idn’t a new beer for ACB – just one they discontinued brewing that was ewssurected.

  2. Alley Kat brews pretty good beer, and it’s fairly close to me (same province anyway). I see it was scheduled to come out on the 8th so I’ll have to check it out.
