SOUTH RIVER, ON – Troy Burtch at Great Canadian Beer Blog reports that Highlander Brew Co., a small brewery in South River near Algonquin Park, has been put up for sale.
Burtch was alerted to the sale via a posting on Kijiji, and he contacted owner and brewmaster Brian Wilson to confirm. In an email response, Wilson said that the brewery had become “too much for a one man band so to speak,” but that the brewery is selling “100 cases weekly to the LCBOs alone,” suggesting that it may be a good opportunity for someone looking for an established brewery business to take over.
