BAIE-SAINT-PAUL, QC – MicroBrasserie Charlevoix has announced the latest addition to the series of single hop double IPAs it has been releasing periodically under the La Vache Folle brand.
Aramis Double IPA is the 9th in the series, and is one of the most unique as the eponymous hop variety is quite new. Coming from the Alsace region of France, Aramis hops were first used commercially by Stone Brewing in California this past summer, with Stone’s head brewer Mitch Steele describing them at the time as having “a very unique aroma-herbal like a German noble hop, but with hints of lemon as well.”
Aramis Double IPA will be available soon in 500 ml bottles at beer retailers throughout Quebec.
