Gahan Brewery Expands Distribution & Announces Plans for New Beer

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEGahan Brewery, the only brewery currently in operation on Prince Edward Island, has started shipping its beer out-of-province for the first time.

As of yesterday, Gahan brands including Sir John A’s Honey Wheat and Island Red are available at NB Liquor stores in New Brunswick.

In a report on yesterday’s edition of PEI’s local CBC News program Compass, Gahan’s Jeff Squires indicated that distribution will increase further in the future, starting with a new canned lager that will be marketed under the PEI Brewing Company name and released across Canada later this year.

The full February 29th episode of Compass can be viewed online, with the Gahan story starting at the 7:40 mark. An accompanying text article has also been posted on the CBC News PEI website.
