CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Gahan Brewery, the only brewery currently in operation on Prince Edward Island, has started shipping its beer out-of-province for the first time.
As of yesterday, Gahan brands including Sir John A’s Honey Wheat and Island Red are available at NB Liquor stores in New Brunswick.
In a report on yesterday’s edition of PEI’s local CBC News program Compass, Gahan’s Jeff Squires indicated that distribution will increase further in the future, starting with a new canned lager that will be marketed under the PEI Brewing Company name and released across Canada later this year.
