Beer Line-Up Revealed for Beer 4 Boobs Breast Cancer Fundraiser

TORONTO, ONBeer 4 Boobs – a fundraiser for breast cancer research featuring beer from female brewers – will be taking place this weekend at barVolo (587 Yonge St., Toronto), and to help build anticipation for the event, the list of beers that will be available has been announced.

Working on pilot systems at a number of Toronto breweries, as well as on the House Ales nanobrewery at Volo, the brewers – including Erica Graholm from Steam Whistle Brewing; Kaitlin Vanderbosch, Siobhan McPherson and Bridgid Young from Mill Street Brewery; Tracy Phillippi from Black Oak Brewing; Mary Beth Keefe from Granite Brewery; Tamara Wise from Burger Bar; Morgan Wielgosz from Amsterdam Brewery; and Jenn Robitaille from Magnotta Brewery – created the following beers:

ON DRAUGHT

1. Amsterdam Lassie’s 80 (Scottish 80 Shilling)

2. Cheshire Valley Bitter Black Beauty (Black Bitter)
Brewers: Tracy, Tamara, Amber (4.5%, 40 IBU)

3. Granite Alternator (Alt/brown Ale)
Brewers: Siobhan, Mary Beth (5.5%, 23 IBU)

4. Great Lakes Rosie the Riveter (Biere De Mars)
Brewers: Erica and Bridgid (7.0%, 23 IBU)

5. House Ales Freya’s Tears (Golden Ale)
Brewers: Erica, Jen, Siobhan (4.2%, 35 IBU)

6. House Ales Mezza Notte Espresso (Milk Espresso Stout)
Brewers: Aina (6.5%, 40 IBU)

7. Niagara College Cocoa Inferno (Chili Chocolate Stout)
Brewers: Jen, Kellye (6.0%, 30 IBU)

Beer 4 Boobs will be happening on Sunday March 25th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Admission is $20, with full proceeds from the door and raffle draws to be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
