Whistler Releases Cheakamus Chai Maple Ale

WHISTLER, BCWhistler Brewing has added a new brand to its seasonal beer rotation with the launch of Cheakamus Chai Maple Ale.

Named after the Cheakamus River which flows near Whistler, this spring ale is described as follows:

A mild ale with all the freshness of maple syrup – and a little bit of springtime spice for good measure. This dark bronze ale is made with real maple syrup added right to the mash. Then, a trace of chai tea is added during the filtration process. The result is a highly complex, mildly spiced palate structure. One taste, and a simple truth is clear: complexity can be a very beautiful thing.

Cheakamus Chai Maple Ale is now available on tap at several locations in the Whistler area, and it will be officially launched Sunday, April 8th with a tasting event at Legacy Liquor Store in Vancouver. Running from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the launch will feature samples of the beer as well as a special beer cocktail created for the event, as well as food to complement the beer by Kale & Nori Culinary Arts.
