TORONTO, ON – Amsterdam Brewery has announced the return of Oranje Weisse, a summer seasonal that will once again be available to enjoy through the warmer months.
Despite having a name suggestive of a German-style weissbier, Oranje Weisse is closer in style to a Belgian witbier, as indicated by the description provided by the brewery:
Oranje Weisse is a premium, unfiltered white beer. Predominantly brewed with un-malted wheat, which gives it a hazy appearance, Amsterdam has also added two types of orange peel and some coriander resulting in a unique flavour combination of citrus and light spice.
This year’s release of Orange Weisse is available now in 500 ml bottles at select LCBO and Beer Store outlets and at the Amsterdam Brewery store, and on tap at a number of bars and restaurants and Toronto and surrounding area. It will be given an official kick-off on Wednesday May 9th with an open house tasting event at the brewery (21 Bathurst Street, Toronto) from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
