Spinnakers Releasing New Beer To Mark Esquimalt Centennial

VICTORIA, BC – As part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of Esquimalt, a small municipality near Victoria, Spinnakers Brewpub has announced the release of Shoaling Waters India Session Ale to mark the occasion.

Named after “place of the shoaling waters” – the English translation of Esquimalt – this new beer is described as a “session IPA, based on the legendary seafaring ales of the English midlands, sent to supply the colonies throughout the Empire.”

Shoaling Waters will be debuted tomorrow (September 8th) during the official Esquimalt Centennial 2012 celebrations, which will take place in Esquimalt’s Gorge Park. In addition to the Spinnakers beer tent, the day will include live entertainment, canoe rides, walking tours and more.
