Beau’s & HogsBack Announce Details For Their Oktoberfest Beers

OTTAWA, ON & VANKLEEK HILL, ONBeau’s All Natural Brewing and HogsBack Brewing have announced details of the beers that they will each be pouring this coming weekend at Oktoberfest events in their respective communities.

HogsBack will be the exclusive beer supplier at Oktoberfest Ottawa, taking place at Clarke Fields in the Barrhaven area of Ottawa. In addition to the flagship HogsBack Vintage Lager, there will be three exclusive HogsBack beers available – Wunder-Barrhaven Brown, LederHoser Pumpkin Ale and Wendt-Weiss, the latter named in honour of  George Wendt (aka Norm Peterson from Cheers) who will be appearing at the festival as a special guest.

All three exclusive beers were brewed using the facilities at Ashton Brewing Company, and were named via an online contest.

An hour east of Ottawa, Beau’s will be have nine beers to choose from at the annual Vankleek Hill Oktoberfest, including their year-round Lug-Tread Lagered Ale, fall seasonal  Night-Märzen Oktoberfest Lager, and seven beers from the Wild Oats Series of experimental and one-off beers, including And Boom Gose the Dynamite, Dark Helmut Imperious Schwartzbier, Koru Belgian Pale Ale, Oktobock, Vassar Heirloom Ale, Zons Jo Kokot! and Weiss O’Lantern. In addition to the Beau’s line-up, the Vankleek Hill Oktoberfest will feature a Cask Days pavilion with cask ales from more than 20 craft breweries, along with food vendors, workshops and talks, and more. Check out the event website for full details.
