Parallel 49 Releases a Unique Pair of Pumpkin Beers

VANCOUVER, BC – With the changing of the seasons from spring to fall, pumpkin beers are  popping up all across the country, with most of them being standard pale or golden ales flavoured with pumpkin and spices.

Taking a different approach is Vancouver’s Parallel 49 Brewing, which has released two pumpkin beers, neither of them of the typical variety.

Schadenfreude Pumpkin Oktoberfest is described as a “hearty, malty lager warmed by the mighty pumpkin and lifted with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice and ginger.”

Lost Souls Chocolate Pumpkin Porter is described as being “rich, robust [and] so good, even the living dead will indulge.”

Schadenfreude is available in 4-packs of 341 ml bottles, while Lost Souls is in single 650 ml bottles. Both beers are available at select liquor stores in BC and at the Parallel 49 retail store while supplies last.
