FORT MCMURRAY, AB – Alberta brewpub company Bear Hill Brewing has opened its third location, this one in the northern city of Fort McMurray.

Joining corporate siblings Jasper Brewing in Jasper and Banff Avenue Brewing in Banff, the newly opened Wood Buffalo Brewing is located in the Morrison Center, at the corner of Morrison Street and Franklin Avenue.

According to its website, Wood Buffalo is “one of the largest brewpub and eateries in Canada.” It opened for business last week, and is offering five year-round beers – Gold Digger Golden Ale, Lift Kit Lager, Wood Buffalo Pale Ale, Overtime IPA and Black Gold Stout – along with a rotating seasonal.

  1. I am very excited to have a brewpub in my home town. Even more excited about going back because it’s an EXCELLENT brewpub. The overtime IPA is well rounded, not overly hoppy for the unsuspecting first timer, and a great introduction to IPA’s for the people who have not yet stepped out of the conservative routine of light and fizzy. This is a big treat for Fort McMurray and it’s hard working citizens.
