Mill Street Announces New Seasonal Pack for Spring 2013

TORONTO, ONMill Street Brewery has revealed details for its seasonal mixed pack for Spring, following the same two beer format used for last Autumn’s sampler.

Officially called the Mill Street Seasonal Spring Mix, the limited edition six-pack will feature three bottles each of two new Mill Street beers – Spring Imp Bock and Spring Thaw Maple Ale – which are described as follows:

Spring Imp is brewed for the season when the monks in Munich would traditionally release them. It is a medium bodied Bockbier brewed to 7% alc which has more malt character than our permanent Hellesbock. Brewed with German malt, hops, yeast, the only Canadian ingredient is the water! These strong lager beers are rich in flavour as well as history and will put a twinkle in your eye! Prost!

Deep amber colour and made with lightly smoked malt and Lanark County maple syrup, Spring Thaw Maple Ale is the perfect way to cope with the late winter blahs! We smoke part of the malt ourselves and then infuse the beer with eastern Ontario maple syrup from the Wheeler’s Family sugar bush in MacDonald’s Corners to give it a slightly sweet, wonderful hardwood-smoked character. Very lightly hopped, this is a variant of a carbonated Irish Red Ale. This beer will break the ice and wrap you in warmth at the end of a long winter. Go forth!

Mill Street Seasonal Spring Mix will be released in early March at liquor retailers in Ontario, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Alberta & British Columbia, as well as the retail shops at the Mill Street Brewpubs in Toronto and Ottawa.
