KELOWNA, BCTree Brewing has announced a few changes to the look of its Dukes Cider brand, including the launch of a new format.

Previously available exclusively in six-packs of 355 ml cans, the popular cider will now also be sold in single-serve 500 ml cans, and both packages will sport an upgraded design including:

  • A new “cleaned up” look that makes the Dukes Cider name more prominent on the packaging.
  • A “Gluten Free” notice across the top of the can, for the benefit of celiacs or others looking for clearly labelled gluten free beverage options.
  • A nutrient label that is not required by CFIA standards, but as noted by Tree’s Director of Sales Chris Stirling, “we feel that our customers want to know what is in a can of Dukes Cider and we have nothing to hide, so we added it.”

A popular product since its debut 2 years ago, Dukes is described as having “a very ‘real’ taste compared to most other apple ciders,” and “a subtle apple flavour with a nice dry finish.”

The new 500 ml cans of Dukes Cider are available now at the Tree retail store, and will be on shelves at private liquor stores in BC and Alberta later this month. It will also replace the six-pack format at LCBO outlets in Ontario by May 1st.
