SHAWINIGAN, QC – To help mark the release of the first beers from their new production facility, as well as the impending launch of several brands in Ontario, the partners behind Microbrasserie Le Trou Du Diable will be heading to Toronto later this month for a series of events arranged and presented by Keep 6 Imports, the brewery’s representatives in Ontario.

Following a private collaborative brew day at Bellwoods Brewery on Friday May 24th, co-owners Isaac Tremblay, Andre Trudel, Luc Bellerive and Franck Chaumanet will be on hand at two public tasting events over the course of the weekend.

The first will take place at barVolo (587 Yonge St.) on Saturday May 25th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, and will focus on six unique barrel aged beers from Trou Du Diable, including the special brandy barrel edition of the renowned La Buteuse Belgian Tripel, and Archeo Porter, a sour barrel aged beer brewed in collaboration with Dieu du Ciel!.

Following on Sunday May 26th at WVRST (609 King St. W.) will be “The Devil is Coming”, a tap takeover starting at 2:00 PM that will feature 18 Trou Du Diable brands and draught and cask including Shawinigan Handshake, the Hopfenweisse beer that will also be coming to the LCBO this summer as part of a seasonal craft beer promotion. And as an added bonus, brewery co-owner and chef Franck Chaumanet will be bringing some blood sausage to serve with the beers.

For a full list of beers that will be available and more event details, see the announcement post on the Keep 6 blog.
