CALGARY, AB – In the wake of the devastating floods that struck much of Alberta last weekend, several breweries in Calgary are banding together for a special fundraising event next week.

Spearheaded by Big Rock Brewery – which has also announced the postponement of the annual Big Rock Eddies gala event from this week to the fall – the Suds For Floods fundraiser will take place at TELUS Spark next Wednesday July 3rd at 6:00 PM.

Admission to the event will be a suggested $10 or a food donation to the Calgary Food Bank, and Big Rock will be joined by Village Brewery and Wild Rose Brewery to serve $5 pints of beer to attendees.

According to the Calgary Herald, representatives of Tool Shed Brewing and Brew Brothers will also be on hand to help the cause, although they won’t pouring any beer (Tool Shed has yet to officially launch and has no beer ready to serve, and Brew Brothers are being affected by continuing power outages in downtown Calgary).

In addition to the beer, there will be local food trucks on site, live music and DJs, silent auctions and more, with 100% of all proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross.
