TORONTO, ON – Following their collaboration on last year’s successful World Atlas of Beer, Toronto-based beer writer Stephen Beaumont has teamed up once again with England’s Tim Webb for another publication.

The Pocket Beer Guide is described in a press release as follows:

(Beaumont & Webb) have collaborated with top international contributors to create the most extraordinary, comprehensive, and up-to-date guide to a variety of beers worldwide, from traditional favorites to exciting new discoveries. This team of experts provides tasting notes on an amazing selection of suds, organized by country, complete with information on breweries and each beer’s key characteristics. Useful tips such as great places to drink the beers when you are in the relevant country and a run-down of contemporary beer styles are also included in this easy-to-tote essential guide.

In addition to reviews of more than 3000 beers from around the world, the 320-page book also includes profiles of notable beer destinations and an international list of beer festivals.

The North American edition of The Pocket Beer Guide will be released by Sterling Publishing on September 17th, and will retail for $15.95 in Canada.

To mark the release, Stephen Beaumont will be selling and signing copies of The Pocket Beer Guide and The World Atlas of Beer at the Canadian Beer News presented screening of Beer Hunter: The Story of Michael Jackson, taking place on Thursday September 19th at The Rhino (1249 Queen St. W., Toronto) as part of Toronto Beer Week.
