HALIFAX, NSGarrison Brewing has announced that its popular holiday Spruce Beer will be returning next week, and as always, it features a variety of ingredients that pay tribute to Canada’s brewing history:

North America’s oldest beer style brewed with local spruce and fir tips, blackstrap molasses and dates. Dark amber and brown colouring. Aroma is a comforting mix of spruce boughs, caramel malts, molasses and dates. Complex and full-bodied, it balances the crisp bitterness of spruce and fur gum with the warming flavours of molasses and bittersweet chocolate.

This year’s vintage of Spruce Beer will go on sale a the Garrison retail store on Friday December 13th, with a line-up of fans expected to show up bright and early to make a purchase. It will remain on sale at the Garrison shop, NSLC locations all private liquor stores in Nova Scotia, and ANBL locations in New Brunswick while supplies last.
