CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – 2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference, a gathering that laid the groundwork for the Confederation of Canada three years later, and to commemorate the occasion, PEI Brewing has announced the release of a new themed sampler pack.

The PEI Brewing Fathers pack contains four beers from the brewery’s Gahan House line-up that have been re-branded to honour the Fathers of Confederation. Featured beers include 1864 Blueberry Ale, Premier George Coles Cream Ale, Sir John A’s Honey Wheat Ale, and Colonel John Hamilton Gray Brown Ale.

The Fathers pack was debuted yesterday during the opening of the Culinary Event Space at the PEI Brewing facility, and event that also launched the brewery’s official partnership with PEI 2014, a series of more than 150 festivals and events that will take place throughout the province this year to celebrate the Charlottetown Conference anniversary.

The PEI Brewing Fathers commemorative pack is available now at the PEI Brewing retail store, and will be distributed soon at liquor stores in PEI, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Ontario.
