TORONTO, ONBeer 4 Boobs, a breast cancer charity beer festival that launched in Toronto in 2012 and expanded to Hamilton in 2013, has announced details for the 2014 editions of the event.

Taking place in both Ontario cities once again, Beer 4 Boobs 2014 will feature events at Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto on Sunday April 27th, and The Ship in Hamilton on Sunday May 11th. Both installments will feature a line-up of exclusive one-off and collaborative beers created by craft brewers from across Ontario, many of them female.

“This will be our third and very exciting year,” says Beer 4 Boobs co-founder Kaitlin Vandenbosch in a statement. “What is different about this years’ event is the introduction of a flavor theme to unify the beers. The 2014 brewing theme is ‘Yeast Character’: brews that showcase the range of unique yeast-derived characteristics and flavours possible in beer.”

Participating breweries will include Amsterdam, Black Oak, Mill Street, The Ship, Bellwoods, 5 Paddles, Niagara College, Wellington, Cheshire Valley and The Granite, with more to be announced.

Both events will run from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on their respective days, and admission will be $25 at the door (cash only), which will include 1 beer sample and a commemorative sampling glass. Additional sample tickets will be sold on site.

Proceeds from ticket sales, raffle and beer from the Toronto event will be donated to PYNK, a breast cancer program for young women under 40 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, while proceeds from the Hamilton event will go to Breast Cancer Support Services, an organization that provides comfort and support to women and families living with breast cancer in the Greater Hamilton & Halton regions.
