TORONTO, ON – The organizers of Toronto’s Brewer’s Backyard beer event series have announced that a new beer from Sawdust City Brewing has been brewed especially for next Monday’s “Queen Victoria’s Secret” edition.
Described as combining “the best of a British-style ale with a brazen infusion from India,” Balmoral’s Outrage has the following background story:
‘Twas a story of friendship, passion, quite likely love, most definitely anger, in a castle, between a Queen, her Indian manservant and a gaggle of enraged Royal residents at Balmoral.
No one truly knows the details of what exactly went on between Queen Vic and her “Munshi” one fateful, private evening when they slipped into a cottage on the castle grounds and remained together overnight. But it was enough to spark outrage from the assembled British nobility.
And so, to this day, the “Munshi” will forever be Queen Victoria’s Secret, a treasured counsel and close confidant who brought fury to the Royal household.
Balmoral’s Outrage will be available to sample exclusively at Brewer’s Backyard, taking place Monday May 19th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Evergreen Brick Works. It will be served in 6 ounce samples, with a limited amount going on tap at the top of each hour to allow as many people to try it as possible.
Oast House Brewers and Amsterdam Brewery will also be pouring at the event, and food will be provided by FeasTO, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch and Royale Popcorn Company. Admission is free and family-friendly, with sampling tickets for beer and food available on-site.
