TORONTO, ONLeft Field Brewery has announced details of its first summer seasonal brand, one that once again plays on brewery owners Mark & Mandie Murphy’s love of baseball.

Sunlight Park Saison is named after Toronto’s first professional baseball stadium, Sunlight Park, which stood near Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue in Toronto from 1886 to 1913.

The 5.3% abv summer ale is described as follows:

We designed Sunlight Park Saison to be a tart, refreshing and easy-drinking beer, perfect as a reward for a hot day of yard work or as an excuse to soak-in the sun on one of the fine patios in our beautiful city. Each batch of Sunlight Park Saison is brewed using a healthy dose of malted wheat and honey malt, includes the zest of 100 organic grapefruits and is fermented using a traditional Belgian saison yeast.

Sunlight Park Saison will be available on tap at select craft beer bars in Toronto, and at the various beer festivals that Left Field will be pouring at throughout the summer.
