HALIFAX, NSGarrison Brewing has announced the release of a new beer that is the culmination of several recent test brands, and the return of a collaborative favourite that debuted several years back.

The new arrival is Garrison India Pale Ale, the final version of Test Batch #3447 and Test Batch #3459 which were released in limited amounts earlier this year. This first year-round IPA from Garrison checks in at 6.5% abv and 50 IBU, with Citra, Columbus and Amarillo making up the bulk of the hops bill.

The returning beer is Nit-Wit, a Belgian-style wheat ale developed by homebrewer Scott Tilford that won the 2010 Garrison Ultimate Brew-Off, and was first released commercially in early 2011. The 4.8% abv ale is described as being “hazy, fruity, spicy and ridiculously refreshing.”

Both beers are available now in 6-packs in the Garrison retail store, and will be released soon at NSLC and private liquor store locations in Nova Scotia.
