SOMERSET, NS – The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that Bad Apple Brewhouse has released a new beer in support of a pair of charities that are close to the hearts of brewery owner Jeff Saunders and his family.

Mosaic Double IPA is an 8% abv ale that pays tribute to Saunders’ son and others who are afflicted with Mosaic Down Syndrome.

The beer was brewed with exclusively Mosaic hops, imparting it with a “unique and complex blend of floral, tropical, fruity notes.”  Full proceeds will be donated to the Nova Scotia Down Syndrome Society and Camp Brigadoon, the latter a summer camp for various groups of special needs kids and their families.

Mosaic Double IPA was released last week at the Bad Apple retail store and tasting room, and it will be available on tap at select bars and pubs in the area while supplies last.
