Details Announced for Beau’s Oktoberfest 2014

VANKLEEK HILL, ONBeau’s All Natural Brewing has announced details for the 6th annual edition of the always anticipated Beau’s Oktoberfest.

Taking place October 3rd and 4th, 2014 at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds, this year’s festival will include an assortment of Beau’s beers on tap – 13 in all, including a number of new and exclusive beers – as well as a wide assortment of specially selected cask ales from other Ontario craft breweries.

For food lovers, 25 restaurants from across the province will be on hand to serve Bavarian- and locally-inspired fare, and musical entertainment will include Joel Plaskett Emergency, The Rural Alberta Advantage and Groenland on Friday night, Tokyo Police Club and Radio Radio on Saturday evening, and daytime performances by Canada’s Polka King Walter Ostanek. and traditional German dance troupe The Schuhplatters.

As a preview for the event, a selection of four Beau’s Oktoberfest beers will be released in a mixed pack at select LCBO outlets and the Beau’s retail store & delivery service in early September.

Tickets for Beau’s Oktoberfest 2014 will go on sale on Thursday August 7th, with single day tickets priced at $22 and two-day passes at $33, with each admission including a souvenir hat, a pretzel, and a beer or other beverage. Youth tickets for 18 and under are $5, and round-trip shuttle buses from Ottawa, Montreal and Cornwall are available for an additional $15.

As always, a portion of the event proceeds will go to various charities, with this year’s recipients list including the Eastern Ontario Chapter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Ottawa Riverkeeper, the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society, Just Food, Hidden Harvest, Unshaven Mavens, and several others.
