TORONTO, ON – The Fairmont Royal York Hotel has announced details of a nationwide contest to pick a new name for the exclusive honey cream ale brewed for them by Mill Street Brewery.

Launched in 2011 as Royal Stinger Honey Ale, the beer is made using honey from the hotel’s rooftop apiary, which is home to more than 350,000 honeybees that produce more than 800 pounds of honey per year.

Entries for the “Bee the Name Behind the Beer” contest can be sent to beethename@fairmont.com until Friday August 8th, when the top three suggested new names will be chosen and posted to social media outlets on Monday August 11th for online voting.

The final winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip for two to Toronto including airfare, a 2 night stay at the Royal York, dinner and drinks at Mill St. Beer Hall and more.

For more details, see the contest info page on the Royal York website, and the “Bee the Name” Facebook page.
