KINGSTON, ON – After many months of planning, renovations and test brewing – all of which have been well documented on Facebook – Kingston’s Stone City Ales has released its first commercial batch of beer to the public.

The debut keg of 12 Star Session Ale – a 4.8% abv and 30 IBU golden pale ale – was tapped yesterday (July 21st) at Le Chien Noir Bistro in downtown Kingston, just a couple of blocks from the Stone City brewery at 275 Princess Street.

12 Star will soon be joined by two other brands – Uncharted IPA (7% abv & 70 IBU) and Watchtower Conspiracy Imperial IPA (9.1% abv & 85 IBU) – the latter brewed in collaboration with Big Spruce Brewing of Nova Scotia.

Stone City beers will be on tap at several other licensees in Kingston and area soon, and bottle and growler sales are expected to be launched at the brewery on or around July 25th, with full-scale taproom and food service to follow later this summer.
