KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON – In response to the Molson-dominated events at the annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, a group of local beer lovers have come together to arrange Craftoberfest 2014, a parallel festival celebrating the region’s burgeoning craft beer scene.
Spearheaded by Imbibe Food & Drink, a craft beer focused bar & restaurant in Kitchener, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Craft Beer Club, Craftoberfest will run from September 27th to October 17th, with events taking place at venues throughout the Waterloo Region.
Launching on the 27th with a kick-off party at Imbibe featuring beer from at least 15 Ontario craft breweries, the three week festival will include tastings and sessions at bars and restaurants including Games on Tap, Beertown, KW Boathouse and more to be announced.
