HALIFAX, NSGarrison Brewing has announced the release of a new seasonal beer created in collaboration with Beau’s All Natural Brewing.

Sweet Rye’d Harvest Wheat Ale was brewed at Garrison in August when a team from Beau’s were visiting Halifax for the Seaport Beerfest. The 6% abv ale is described as follows:

Sweet Rye’d is a strong, auburn-coloured ale that celebrates the cool nights & harvest season now upon us. It boasts a hearty grain bill of malted rye, wheat and Munich barley, along with generous hopping and fresh bog myrtle from Beau’s. This malty, floral & herbaceous autumn ale was developed and brewed under the watchful eyes of both brewmasters – Daniel Girard (Garrison) & Matt O’Hara (Beau’s). The branding and packaging was also a collaboration between the two breweries.

Sweet Rye’d is being released today (September 26th) exclusively in Nova Scotia, where it will be available at all private liquor stores, select NSLC locations, and the Garrison retail store, selling for $12.95 per six-pack of 341 ml bottles.

  1. My mind is exploding and have goose bumps. After spending 5 years in eastern ontario finding out that beau’s was the best brewery on earth then moving east to become a regular garrison customer, my jaw is on the floor. Amazing!!!
