TORONTO, ON – Amsterdam Brewery has announced that a limited bottle run of its latest Amsterdam Adventure Brew will be released today.
Amsterdam Reserve Saison is a blend of fresh and barrel-aged versions of the brewery’s Saison, with brewmaster Iain McOustra describing it as follows:
We wanted to build a Saison that incorporated barrel and wild yeast characteristics with a light acidity from bacteria and wine lees. To do so we chose several barrels from our cellar and blended in two different fresh batches of saison to get all of the different flavours we were looking for. In all there are eight different beers in our blend, the oldest being three years old. The only common thread in these beers is the Wallonia yeast strain.
Amsterdam Reserve Saison will be available in an edition of 1000 x 750 ml bottles, selling for $13.95 per bottle at both Amsterdam retail stores (45 Esandar Dr. and 245 Queen’s Quay W. in Toronto) while supplies last.
