OTTAWA, ON – Ontario beer news website Mom ‘n’ Hops reports that Nita Beer Company is getting set to open in Ottawa in early 2015.

Owned by namesake brewer Andy Nita, his wife Bridget Carey, and a number of investors, Nita will be located in an industrial plaza at 190 Colonnade Rd. in the city’s Nepean section.

The brewery will be launching with two core brands – Ten12, a 5% abv beer described as being “lightly malted with a smooth taste and a crisp finish”; and OPA, a 6% abv IPA with “assertive hop bitterness, balanced flavour and smooth finish.”

Nita Beer Company is planned to open on Saturday, January 10th, 2015. For more details, see the brewery’s Facebook page.

  1. I can’t wait to taste the first production beer! I’ve tasted a few of the incarnations of the OPA on its rise to glory, and it is going to be one delicious beer. Keep us posted on the January opening!
