TORONTO, ON – Five months after opening as a restaurant/bar and live music venue in Toronto’s Bloordale Village neighbourhood, Burdock Brewery & Music Hall has announced that the brewery side of its business will be officially launched later this week.
On Friday August 21st, six beers brewed on-site by brewer Siobhan McPherson – Westcoast Pilsner, California Common, IPA, Saison, Grisette, and Summer Stout – will be on tap for a launch event starting at 5:00 PM.
“We’re trying to focus on sourcing as much as we can from Ontario,” says McPherson in a press release. “We have a few beers out of the first six that are all Ontario hops, and we’re also working with a new Ontario yeast company. We’re trying to keep things, kind of like our kitchen does, as seasonal and as local as we can.”
