POWELL RIVER, BCTownsite Brewing has announced that the 2015 edition of a beer marking the annual hops harvest will be making an earlier than usual appearance thanks to the rapid growth of this year’s crop of hops.

Townsite Timewarp is a 5.5% pale ale described as follows:

Timewarp uses only local hops from various farms and backyards around Powell River. “We put a call out to local farmers to plant hops when we first opened 3 years ago,” says Townsite GM Chloe Smith, “and apparently a few people heard us, we used 50 Kg of local hops for this year’s brew.” Brewmaster Cédric Dauchot says this year’s version “smells like Jasmine tea,” and it will be unfiltered to accentuate those hop flavours.

Townsite Timewarp will be available in a limited run of 650 ml bottles at select private liquor stores on the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver and Vancouver Island, as well as the Townsite brewery store in Powell River.
