VANCOUVER, BC – R&B Brewing has announced details of the second release in its Mount Pleasant Series, named for the East Vancouver neighbourhood where the brewery has been located since opening 18 years ago.

Mount Pleasant Weizenbock is a 7.8% abv and 28 IBU dark wheat beer described as follows:

An historic style, reborn – marrying the spicy phenolics of Hefeweizen with the bold malty backbone of traditional Bock beers. R&B’s Weizenbock is deep mahogany in colour, with aromas of dark fruit, banana and fresh bread. It has a taste of molasses and soft, fruity esters with just a subtle hint of spiciness.

Mount Pleasant Weizenbock will be available in a limited run of 650 ml bottles, as well as in 20 and 50 litre kegs, while supplies last. It will be followed in January by the third beer in the series, which is set to be released in conjunction with the grand opening of R&B’s new tasting room.
