GUELPH, ON – Wellington Brewery has announced details for this year’s edition of DecemBEER, a series of limited edition and one-off beers to be released each Friday in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Now in its third year, the 2015 series will feature 6 beers – the highest number so far – and will also be kicking off a bit before December in order to fit them all in.
The full release schedule for the series is as follows…
Friday November 27th: Needlepoint Hibiscus Spruce Ale and 2015: A Spice Odyssey
Two beers created by the all-female brewing team that are also behind the Queen of Craft Women’s Beer Series events. Both beers will be available for $9.95 per 750 ml bottle, with $1 from each bottle going to support Guelph-Wellington Women In Crisis.
Friday December 4th: Kentucky Cow Bourbon Barrel-Aged Chocolate Milk Stout
A special barrel-aged edition of Wellington’s Chocolate Milk Stout, to be sold for $10.95 per 750 bottle.
Friday December 11th: Train Hoppin’ IPA
An American-style IPA that was voted a fan favourite at Wellington’s THIRTY: Anniversary Cask Fest earlier this year. It will retail for $3.45 per 473 ml can.
Friday December 18th: Yuletide Barley Wine 2015 Vintage and Yuletide Barley Wine Aged 2014 Vintage
The return of an annual favourite, along with a limited cellar-aged release of last year’s vintage. Both will be released in 750 ml bottles, priced at $9.95 and $10.95 respectively.
All beers in the DecemBEER series will be available at the Wellington brewery store, and on tap at several beer bars in Ontario. 2015: A Spice Odyssey will also be released at select LCBO locations.
