CANMORE, AB – Grizzly Paw Brewing has announced the release of a new seasonal beer brewed in the tradition of classic Winter Warmers.
Alpenglow Winter Ale is a 7.5% abv and 18 IBU strong ale with the following description:
Alpenglow Winter Ale was brewed for warm fires on cold nights, and like the Rocky Mountain snowpack it will continue to develop depth and complexity as the winter progresses. We set out this year to brew a beer-forward winter ale without the extra additions of spices and fruits, instead allowing these flavors to come from our malts, hops and yeast. This beer is full bodied and sweet without being cloying, and greets you with a spicy cherry aroma that develops into a rich malty flavor reminiscent of holiday baked goods with highlights of candied fruits and alcohol warmth.
Alpenglow Winter Ale will be available through the winter in 650 ml bottles and on tap at select locations throughout Alberta. It will also be featured in cask ale form at a launch party taking place this Friday December 11th at 5:00 PM at the original Grizzly Paw Brewpub in downtown Canmore.
