TORONTO, ON & OTTAWA, ON – Amsterdam Brewery and Tooth and Nail Brewing have announced the release of a new collaborative ale that was more than a year in the making.
Eastern Migration is an English Olde Ale that is a blend of two beers brewed at Amsterdam in collaboration with Matt Tweedy of Tooth and Nail – one brewed last year and aged in Cabernet Merlot barrels, and the other a fresh beer brewed recently.
The resulting 7.8% abv ale is described as having “all of the charms of a Flanders Red ale, but in the English tradition,” with a “deep fruit and developed malt character (and) a racy acidity and vinous finish.”
Eastern Migration is on tap now at the Amsterdam Brewhouse in Toronto and Tooth and Nail taproom in Ottawa, and a limited number of 650 ml bottles are available at the Amsterdam retail stores while supplies last.
