YELLOWKNIFE, NT – Almost three years after it was originally proposed, the first brewery in the Northwest Territories in nearly two decades has opened in Yellowknife.
The debut beers from NWT Brewing were tapped in the final days of 2015 at The Woodyard Brewhouse & Eatery, the adjoining pub and restaurant also operated by brewery owners Fletcher and Miranda Stevens.
The initial brands from the brewery include Turbid Wit, Ragged Ass Pine Pale Ale and Honey Bucket Nut Brown Ale, with others planned to follow soon.
