TORONTO, ON – Kensington Brewing has announced the launch of a new series of beers brewed using ingredients sourced from Kensington Market, the Toronto neighbourhood where the brewery’s production facility will be opening later this year.

Coffee Shop Cold Brew Porter is a coffee-infused porter described as follows:

In keeping with the neighbourhood theme, more than 22 pounds of coffee beans were sourced from 5 Kensington Market cafes (Café Pamenar, Café Novo, Jimmy’s Coffee, Moon Bean, and Wanda’s Pie in the Sky) to create a concentrated mix of cold brew. Added directly to the fermenter, the result is a strong espresso character that pairs perfectly with roasted barley and dark chocolate notes from the English malt base.

Coffee Shop Cold Brew Porter will be launched tomorrow (Thursday January 7th) from 7:00 to 11:00 PM at Café Pamenar (307 Augusta Ave.) with samples of the new beer and other Kensington brands. The Porter will subsequently be available on tap and local craft beer bars while supplies last.
