CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – PEI Brewing has announced the limited run release of a new Imperial Stout that serves as a preview for a forthcoming barrel-aged version.
Tide She Rises is an 8% abv and 70 IBU stout that was pulled from this year’s batch of the annual Ice Boat Stout before it was put into whisky barrels. This small unaged portion was kegged and is available at select beer bars in Atlantic Canada, including the Gahan House and PEI Brewing taproom, and at Stillwell in Halifax.
The barrel-aged version of Ice Boat Stout will be bottled and released in several weeks.
