Burdock Launching Cuvée Series of Blended Barrel-Fermented Beers

TORONTO, ON – Brewery, restaurant and live music venue Burdock has announced the launch of the Cuvée Series, featuring “blends of barrel primary fermented beers (that) have been in contact with wood throughout all of fermentation.”
The initial release in the series is a 9.5% abv Super Saison with the following description:
A blend of 3 barrels that underwent mixed fermentation with Saison yeasts and Brettanomyces. Although this beer finished dry – it has an expansive mouthfeel from it’s contact with wood during primary fermentation. It has notes of hay, funk, and mild banana esters coupled with the longest finish of any beer we’ve ever made.
Cuvée Super Saison will be released tomorrow (Thursday February 4th) in a limited edition of 852 bottles in the Burdock retail store. It will also be on tap at Burdock while supplies last.
