CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – PEI Brewing has announced that the release of this year’s edition of Ice Boat Barrel-Aged Stout originally planned to take place today (February 23rd) has been postponed.

As noted in a blog post announcing the delay

We’ve been working hard on this brew for the past 4 months – brewing, transferring, aging in whiskey barrels – and we know a lot of you (us included!) are extremely excited for the release. Earlier this week we finally cracked open the barrels for taste-testing and quality control. The crew here at PEI Brewing Company is absolutely dedicated to providing our fans with the best beer our team can brew – and simply put, this beer isn’t ready yet.

The announcement goes on to say that the brewery hopes the beer will be ready for release sometime in the next 6 to 8 months.

Once a new release date for this vintage of Ice Boat has been confirmed, it will be announced here on CBN.
