GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – The second brewery to open in as many months in Grand Prairie will be officially launching tomorrow (Friday March 11th) in the city’s downtown.

GP Brewing has been founded by Jason Petrone, also owner of Maddhatters Pub. Located next door to the pub, the brewery features a 25 hectolitre brewhouse, a tasting room, and retail sales of cans and growlers.

Following a VIP soft opening earlier this week, the public launch tomorrow will kick off with the retail store opening at 10:00 AM, followed by the tasting room welcome guests starting at 3:00 PM. A ribbon-cutting with the Mayor and other city officials will follow on Saturday.

The brewery will be starting out with three core brands – Blowout Stout, Harvest Hefeweizen, and TK IPA – along with two other brands – Maddhatters Mercury Lager and Downtown Honey Brown – that are being brewed especially for Maddhatters.
