TORONTO, ON – Earlier this week, the Honourable Dave Levac, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, hosted Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs), staff and selected guests at the 11th annual Ontario Craft Brewers tasting event at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
32 OCB member breweries were on hand to pour 92 different beers for attendees who cast ballots to choose their favourites. The winning beers will be available in the dining room and at catered events & receptions at Queen’s Park for the 2016-17 year.
The categories and winning beers for this year were:
Speaker’s Choice: Lenoir Belgian Ale, Bell City Brewing
Ale: Cooper’s Hawk Pale Ale, Gananoque Brewing
Lager: Against the Grain Helles Lager, High Park Brewing
Stout: Winterbeard, Muskoka Brewery
Pilsner: Pale Pilsner, Old Credit Brewing
Porter: Brock Street Porter, Brock Street Brewing
Specialty: Witty Traveller Wheat Ale, Railway City Brewing
