POWELL RIVER, BC – Townsite Brewing has announced that a beer previously available as a limited seasonal release is now part of its core line-up of year-round brands.
Zwarte Wheat is a 5.2% abv dark witbier that came about due to the desire of brewmaster Cédric Dauchot to experiment with Midnight Wheat Malt. The resulting beer has the following notes:
Don’t let the colour fool you, this is a citrus-y sipper with zest. The addition of midnight wheat to the mash adds a layer of smoothness to this otherwise light and tangy Belgian witbier.
Zwarte Wheat is available now in 650 ml bottles at the Townsite brewery store and select liquor stores in BC, and on tap at better craft beer bars in the area.
