Molson Launches Summer of Cider Campaign with New & Established Brands

TORONTO, ON – After launching a couple of brands into the cider market over the last several years, Molson Coors Canada has announced that it is taking a deep plunge into the increasingly popular beverage category with a portfolio of nine products – including several new ones – that are being promoted with the slogan “The Summer of Cider”.

Under the Molson Canadian Cider label, the previously available Original and Stone Fruit  versions are being joined this year by Pear Cider (“a prominent natural juicy pear flavour balanced with apple for a crisp, sharp and semisweet finish”) and White Cranberry Cider (“the perfect balance of subtle dessert apple sweetness with crisp apple-cranberry tartness”) – all of them made using 100% Canadian grown apples.

Molson has also taken on Canadian distribution for the Strongbow Cider line-up from the UK, with the previously available British DryGold and Elderflower variants being joined by the new Ginger (“a refreshing medium-dry cider that combines all the fruitiness of apple perfectly enhanced by the spicy softness of ginger”).

Rounding out the selection is Wanderoot Craft Cider Classic Apple, a new Molson-owned product with the following description:

Classic Apple offers plenty of freshly peeled apple skin off the top, with bright, ripe apple notes in the background. The full fruit flavour is complemented by a pleasant crispness that creates the perfect balance of sweet and dry, mellow and tart. The natural carbonation clears the palate and gets you ready for the next sip on your journey.
