KELOWNA, BCTree Brewing has announced details of the next release in its RAW Series of limited edition unfiltered beers, as well as a new sampler pack from its Duke’s Cider brand.

Helles Lager will be replacing the previously released Black Lager in the RAW Series rotation, and is described as follows:

Helles (meaning light in German) has traditionally been brewed in Southern Germany – particularly Munich. Our interpretation of Helles from Brewmaster Dave Gokiert is one that it as straw yellow in colour, light in body, and smooth in taste with subtle spice notes. At 5% ABV and 18 IBU, this one will surely be a ‘crowd pleaser’ especially during those dog days of summer when we all crave something lighter and refreshing.

Also out for the summer will be the Duke’s Cider Variety Pack, containing four cans each of the flagship Duke’s Dry Apple and the new Pear Apple (“nice and light with a clean pear taste”) and Ginger Apple (“clean apple flavor with a bracing, spicy finish”). The two new flavours will be exclusive to the mixed pack.

Tree Helles Lager and Duke’s Cider Variety Pack will be available by June 1st in British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba (Helles Lager only).
