VICTORIA, BC – A new book looking at the history of beer labels in Canada is due to be released later this year, just in time for next year’s 150th birthday of our nation.

150 Years of Canadian Beer Labels by Lawrence C. Sherk – one of Canada’s most knowledgeable and respected collectors of beer labels and memorabilia – will feature 150 beer labels dating from 1871 to today, presenting an “eye-opening cross-section of the country’s beer-brewing history through the artwork of ales, porters, lagers, and malts from brewers east to west, many of which are long forgotten.”

The 320-page hardcover book from TouchWood Editions will be released on October 18th, with a suggested retail price of $29.95.

For more details, see the release announcement from the Collectors of Canadian Brewery Advertising, and the title listing on the TouchWood Editions website.
