ST. JOHN’S, NL – Two beer-focused bar and restaurant chains that got their start in Toronto have opened a co-branded location in St. John’s.
The newest outposts of Mill Street Brewpub and Bier Markt are sharing space at 135 Harbour Drive, a building that previously housed a location of The Keg Steakhouse.
Following the model of others in the chain, the Bier Markt side of the establishment is offering more than 150 beers and a Belgian-inspired food menu.
On the Mill Street side, brewing is being overseen by Alexis Wagner, who will be augmenting the usual Mill Street brand line-up with “innovative, locally-inspired beer” that will “celebrate the people and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.” A short food menu intended to pair well with the beer is also available.
