AMHERST, NS – Maritime Beer Report has announced that a new small family-run brewery is preparing to launch in Amherst later this summer.
Trider’s Craft Beer is being founded by homebrewer Joe Potter, with help from his wife and brother-in-law. The trio will be setting up shop in Amherst Industrial Park next month, and will be starting operations with a 10 gallon pilot system that will be used to produce small batch beers that will be sold at several farmers markets starting in the late summer.
A full-scale 7 barrel system is expected to arrive in late October, with Potter aiming to have full batches of core brands such as Scotian Pale Ale and various rotating seasonals available by early 2017.
